RE: UCPath Project: November Release Now-Live

Hello UCSB UCPath Transactors,

The November release in UCPath is now complete. If you experience any issues, clear your browser's cache before logging into UCPath. Should you encounter any additional issues, please open a ticket with UCPath.

There are two important changes to highlight, so please read the following carefully.

Rewrite General Ledger (GL) Assessments - Key Updates

Effective 11/25, the Rewrite GL Assessments project will calculate CBR (Composite Benefit Rate), GAEL (General Auto and Employee Liability Insurance), and VLA (Vacation Leave Assessment) based on the earnings end date for all transactions.

As a result of these changes, the UCPath Center expects:

  • Reduced time and resources needed to generate CBR Assessment Reporting.
  • Improved processing times for On-Cycle and Off-Cycle Salary Cost Transfers.
  • Enhanced accuracy of financial reporting.

Direct Entry Project - Key Changes

Users with access to Smart HR Templates will now see the new "Manage Human Resources" tile in view-only mode.

Important Details About This Change:

  • The "Create Employee" and "Create Contingent Worker" tiles will not be visible.
  • As previously shared, the Direct Entry project will not be deployed at UCSB at this time.
  • Local leadership will decide the best timing to roll it out to all users, with broader changes planned for 2025.
  • UCSB leadership has approved a small group of early adopters in central teams.
  • The 2024 UCPath production processing schedule has been updated to include a new column highlighting the processing deadline for the Manage Human Resources approvals.

Thank you for your attention to these updates. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of the contacts listed below.

Best regards,
The UCPath Project Team
