RE: UCPath Notification: Lived Name Now Live in UCPath

Hello UCSB Campus Community, 

UCPath is now live with changes that enable UCSB workforce members (any UCPath user) to change their lived name through employee self-service. This change applies to the UCPath system only and will not immediately impact other campus systems. This is part of a continuing effort to bring our campus into compliance with the Gender Recognition and Lived Name Policy.

Next Steps:

  • GRLN Steering Committee is working with campus IT organizations to identify impacted campus systems.
  • Each campus system is in process of being remediated to pull accurate name and gender data from UCPath and/or Identity Manager, with the goal that all systems will reflect accurate data by the December 2023 deadline. Until each system is updated, changing lived name in UCPath will not directly impact all campus systems.
  • The campus community will receive additional information, including training, resources, and best practices for full implementation of the GRLN policy.
