RE: UCPath Alert: Beware of Phishing Emails Impersonating UCPath
Dear UCSB Campus Community,
A phishing email impersonating UCPath is targeting UC employees at several locations, including UC Santa Barbara. The fraudulent email prompts employees to update their UCPath accounts.
Phishing email details
- The phishing email includes the subject line "Update Your UCPath Account"
- It contains a link to a fraudulent login page, mimicking the official UCPath login interface
What to do if you receive this email:
- Do not open the email, click any links, or open attachments
- Immediately report phishing emails.
- To report this, send a copy with full headers to security@ucsb.edu.
- Please visit the UCSB IT Security Incident page for more details on a full header and how to report.
- After reporting, delete the email to ensure security and prevent further risk
Thank you,
UCPath
